The All-American Rejects is a band that hails from Stillwater, Oklahoma. The band was formed in the summer of 2001 by Nick Wheeler and Tyson Ritter. The band initially released their self-titled debut album independently in 2002. It was later reissued by their label Dreamworks. Their debut offering became known for the single "Swing, Swing" which gave the band some much needed mainstream coverage. The album landed on the different US charts, reaching the eighth spot on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart in 2003.

The band then released their sophomore album, Move Along on July of 2005. Their single by the same name also fared well on the charts and became the band’s longest lasting single to date. The Singles music video was nominated and won the "Best Group Video" award at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. The band is set to release their third album in 2008.
